Planning for you and your family

Good planning is less about products and more about clarity: knowing what you have, what you want and how the pieces fit together. We walk alongside individuals and families through every stage, one conversation at a time.

With you at every step

Life rarely changes on a schedule. A new job, a marriage, children, a parent who needs help, a business of your own, a retirement date that suddenly feels close. Your plan should move with you, so we build it around your goals and revisit it as they change.

Many of our clients meet with their advisor once or twice a year, and more often when something big is on the horizon.

Four ideas behind every plan

Before we talk about any account or policy, we talk about these.

  • Purpose

We begin with what you want your money to do: for you, for your family and for the people who come after you.

  • Financial organization

One clear picture of what you own, what you owe and what protects it, so every decision is made with everything in view.

  • Alignment

Your spending, saving, protection and investments pulling in the same direction, toward the goals you named.

  • The road to financial independence

A steady path toward the day work becomes a choice rather than a requirement, planned in stages you can see.

What we help with

Six parts of a financial life, planned together rather than one product at a time.

  • Financial organization

Bringing accounts, policies, debts and documents into one picture, and keeping it current as life changes.

  • Protection

Term and permanent life insurance and disability income insurance, to help protect the people who rely on your income.

  • Cash flow management

A practical view of the money coming in and going out, so saving and spending happen on purpose.

  • Savings and investments

Saving and investing toward specific goals, at a level of risk you understand. All investing involves risk, including the possible loss of the money you invest.

  • Retirement planning

Thinking through when you might retire, where income could come from and how to adjust the plan as the date gets closer.

  • Estate and legacy planning

Planning for what happens to what you have built, alongside your attorney, so your wishes are clear to the next generation.

Five meetings

Every plan follows the same steady path, so you always know where you are and what comes next.

  1. Introduction

We get to know you: where you are, where you want to go and what concerns you most.

  2. Observations

We share what we see in your current picture, plainly, including the gaps.

  3. Recommendations

We propose a plan built around your goals and explain the reasoning behind each part of it.

  4. Implementation

With your agreement, we put the plan in place and work through the details with you.

  5. Ongoing service

We meet regularly to review the plan and adjust it as your life changes.

There is no minimum asset level, and how your advisor is compensated is explained in your first conversations.

Who we help

  • Individuals and families

At every stage, from a first budget to the legacy you want to leave.

  • Pre-retirees

Planning the years just before and just after work becomes optional.

  • Medical and optical professionals

Dedicated practices for physicians, optometrists and practice owners, including disability coverage designed for resident physicians.

  • High-net-worth clients

Our Private Client Group offers eligible clients personalized investment management and, for eligible members, access to alternative investments and structured products, at no additional membership cost. These strategies carry their own risks and are not right for everyone; your advisor will explain them plainly.

Questions families ask

Is there a minimum asset level?

No. We work with people at every stage, whether you are starting out or planning a retirement that is close.

How is my advisor compensated?

Compensation varies with the services you use. Your advisor explains it in your first conversations, before you commit to anything.

Will my plan be personalized?

Yes. Every plan is built around your goals, your family and your timeline. There is no standard package.

How often will we meet?

Many clients meet annually or twice a year, and more often when something in life changes.

How do I get started?

Call us or send a short message through our contact page. The first step is an introduction, a conversation about where you are today.
